Supernatural: Season 6 x 13 "Unforgiven"

quirky_thoughtsFor the second week running I've managed to download the ep on Saturday and watch before breakfast!
Excellent. Waiting any longer just about kills me!
Anyhoo - I know I'm being very boring here because I say this every week...but I really adored this one.
I loved this peek at Sam's missing time. In fact it was the whole purpose of the ep really and no worse for that. It could have been pretty much any ol' monster that was stalking the town and it would have worked just as well.
Seeing and being able to compare both Sam's as they worked a job, and as it turned out the very same hunt, reminded us in no uncertain terms just how much Sam needed his soul back.
The first scenes jumped in with a cold heartless Sam shooting someone or something...we don't get to see it but by the look on Samuel's face..it can't be good.
Robo!Sam's been injured and is bleeding, but doesn't bat an eyelid. And the poor Deputy doesn't know what he's letting himself in for when he tries to arrest him. Not a good move on his part.
OMG....Jared has such a delicious laugh when he's playing soul-less Sam. Kind of deep and throaty. Love it.
I'm going to miss that so much. Maybe souled Sam can keep that bit.
I know I should be shocked when Sam beat the Deputy bloody, and say "how awful" and "that's not nice" but Sammy in brutal animal mode... guh! That's bloody hot! I know..I'm a terrible person!
"Do we care?" Sam says to Samuel.
Kind of indicates that he and Samuel have done this kind of thing before and it doesn't bother them too much. But I have to wonder how long they have actually been hunting together. It can't be any more than 6 months and that's assuming they started as soon as they both found themselves resurrected. A bit unlikely. So probably only a couple of months and they're getting to know each other at this point.
Back to present day Sam, and he's catching up with the news.
There weren't quite so memorable quotes in this ep but this was one of them
Sam: Mel Gibson really took a turn this past year huh?
Dean: or he's possessed.
Dean can't resist Sam's reasoning, or the puppy eyes, to go and investigate the missing girls.
"If things get squirly we dump out ...okay?"
When don't they ever not get squirly!
A quick gratuitous butt shot before we move to...
...the town's bar .......
Dean's heading for the poop deck and Sam's discovering more than he bargained for in his past visit to the town.
A simple touch. Another crack, another memory.
Oh Sammy don't cuff her...cuff me! You sexy beast.
Back at their luxury suite -
Oh boys, you really should leave. It's not safe!
But more puppy eyes of doom. Sam knows how to pull Dean's strings. Works every time.
Yes Dean, we know - you love having your brother back...it's just like old times and you're basking in it.
Dean discovers that Sam's loud and athletic with Nicole.
Sam's getting into trouble.
Sam's reaction to when the Deputy shouts 'you're under arrest" is in total contrast to the previous time he met the guy. Sam's looks around surprised because he can hardly believe the Deputy's talking to him. And I was surprised that the guy was still living and breathing to be honest.
Jailbird Sammy.
Puppy eyes work their magic and he's freed by the Sheriffs wife.
She causes a brief flashback....
Samuel and Robo!Sam investigating....
Fugitive Sam's a bit jumpy and pulls a gun on Dean when he returns.
Hate to say it but I told you so...
You'd love to say I told you so.
Dean's impressed with soul-less Sam's biblical knowledge. :)
Dean goes to investigate a missing person and insists on Sam staying put.
And does he? Nope. Well he wouldn't, would he? When do they ever listen!
A bit more scratching...more flashbacks.
Have you been at the lippy Sam? You don't need to make your lips anymore yummy. They're good enough as they are.
And this time we get a little bit of info on Samuel and he seems warm and nostalgic about his past and hs family. Sam not so much. He's pretty uncomfortable with the mention of family. He really doesn't care in the least.
Dean finds Sam...
...and nearly gets shot again!
And yes Sammy you should have stayed home...
..because something's watching you!
Back at the hovel, Dean's worried about the scratching...but Sam's not leaving until the job's done. Dean's exasperated but at the same time knows he's got his pain in the ass little brother back...and he's not going anywhere without him.
Flashbacks coming thick and fast now.
I have to wonder how Samuel's going to view souled Sam when they eventually get to meet. After all, he did spend a long time with him soul-less. It's going to be quite a shock for him.
A bit of snow as they look for the Sheriff's wife.
They find her...but watch out boys... it's a trap!
...and before you can say Spiderman they're cocooned good and proper.
Dean escapes, Sam escapes and the usual mayhem ensues with the slaying of Spider-man and then Sam's walking the sheriff's wife back home.
The puppy eyes are not going to work this time either, and I can't say I blame the woman at all.
You're going to have to face the fact that this time you're....
Dean's right Sam ...none of it was you, whatever you may say. You were in hell.
And you saved the world...so give yourself some slack.
Plus, you're really are being a bitch to Dean...so pack it in. You're going to need him big time, sooner than you thi....
What? Nooooo. The wall's cracking already? Delay that fruit basket Dean. There's been some shoddy workmanship me thinks.
*Hugs Sammy tight* with an asbestos suit...obviously.
And so it begins.....Sam's first taste of what's to come....before his descent into another kind of hell. *sniff*
