If it suddenly happened there would be total chaos... relationships would breakdown and become unrecognisable from what they are now.  What would be the point in even talking either?
No more secrets, no more lies. Not even little white ones to spare someone's feelings. Sheesh...a total disaster.
We all need to  filter our thoughts before they're put out there in the big wide world! ...or is that just me!

It's not just you. I wouldn't want to know people's thoughts. Every now and then maybe. An on and off button would be nice :P

True...knowing other people thoughts would be pretty unsettling. Although taking a peek into certain people's heads could be a bit interesting...:P

Yikes, no!!! I really do NOT want to know other's people's thoughts. Probably mostly because mine can be so darn scary to begin with :P Thoughts are lose canons. They are all over the place and you might not even mean what you think, but the thought might be there nonetheless. If someone were to catch a bad one, yikes :S

That's a good way to describe it...thoughts being like loose canons...unpredictable and scary, as they do seem to have a life of their own.
I'd imagine that if we were all born with this ability we'd been trained from birth to control our thoughts and feelings. I wonder what we'd be like? Probably like Vulcans....without the pointy ears!
