Just a few thoughts this week:

When Merlin saw in the crystal cave that Morgana was going to murder Uther I couldn't help thinking..... “And this is bad how?” But then it was mentioned that the Kingdom could fall apart and Morgana would only be one relative away from inheriting the throne. So I suppose that’s a good enough reason.

So poor Merlin is in the unenviable position of deciding how to stop Morgana and change the future. Then having done that, Morgana gets fatally injured and he has to decide whether to save her or not. What a burden for the young apprentice but as always he does the decent thing.

We discover that Uther is Morgana’s father. I can’t remember if this is news to us or not. I think it is. So that’s why he’s been fawning all over her! And it’s not much of a surprise when Uther falls back into his old ways and asks Gaius to use magic to heal his daughter. He’s such a hypocrite.

So Merlin has to go to the Dragon and force him to help. I’m glad the Dragon still has a reason to appear. He’s one of my favourite characters. Those two have a strange relationship now. In the past they were almost friends and the Dragon gave Merlin wise advice but now that Merlin is his master the balance has drastically changed. I’m curious to know where their relationship can go in the future. Or if the Dragon has a part to play in the story anymore. I hope so.

Just a thought; I wonder where the Dragon lives most of the time now.

There wasn’t much that happened in the episode overall but I really enjoyed it. Another good one.
