Supernatural: Season 6 x 19 "Mommy Dearest"
Everything's being cranked up for these last few episodes. I would expect nothing less from this show.
We also know there's going to be a season seven and that means we can all rest easy with any cliff hanger the dastardly Kripke's going to leave us with.
So now we know about why souls are so important (although we've not been told their exact purpose yet) and why Eve wanted out of Purgatory.
So Eve's been the red herring of the season for the big bad. Clever. She's had an interesting role to play, but that now seems done. Maybe.
Now it's looking like that it's Crowley (Yay! He's back! Gotta love Mark Sheppard) and Cas who look as if they've been playing Sam and Dean all along, are up to no good.
Oh Cas...Dean's going to be soooo miffed when he finds out.
Especially as Cas and Crowley seemed so keen to keep Sam's soul in Hell and Balthazar keen to help soulless Sam keep his soul out. I think the special friendship is about to crumble!!!
I don't think Cas has gone evil or darkside, but I reckon he's doing whatever it takes to win the war in Heaven and that's taking him into very murky territory. Shades of season four Sam here. Although he's lied quite a bit, we do know he didn't want any harm to come to Sam and Dean, that's why he re-sank the Titanic. So it seems reasonable to assume that he just feeling guilty about what he's doing rather than covering up some evil plan.
Loved seeing Dean make the ash shells.
It was good seeing Lenore again. Surprising to see Cas kill her but it shouldn't really. Angels have always been about getting the job done and not have any sentiment. She wasn't human so what he did was the best option in the circumstances.
Lots of great quotes.
And one for the slashers!
Dean: Why's it always got to be me that makes the call? It's not like Cas lives in my ass. The dude's busy. (Cas appears behind him) Cas get out of my ass!
Castiel: I was never in your...
The whole scene in Ervin's diner is a total delight.
Awesome quotes:
Bobby using the ipad, I can really sympathise with him! :D
Bobby: I asked for a computer
Sam: It is a computer.
Bobby: No, a computer has buttons.
------
Cas: I'll search the town..give me a moment
Dean: Cas, we can still see you! …..And now it's looks like you're pooping!
------
Dean: Oh well that's great...without your powers you're like a baby in a trench coat
Sam: Now you've hurt his feelings

------
The look that Sam gives Dean throughout all this is great...such lovely brotherly moments.
And I've only just noticed..the look that Cas is giving Sam!!!

Plus... SAM IS EATING! Any one know what he's eating? Is he back to the healthy stuff or has his soulless state influenced his eating habits.

And Sam being cuffed. Guh!
And observant Sammy sees Jefferson Starships and it's the flying sam!hair and much fighting.
Cas covered in blood!
Dean arrives with a big knife. Now it's bloody and Sam has his gun back.
Another favourite shot. The boys bursting though the door ...guns ready. Be still my beating heart!
Cas is all efficient and bloody getting the info from the Starship.
It was a lovely scene with the young boys in the car with Sam and Dean and the parallel with their own childhood, but it was pretty much guaranteed then that the kids would be, or turn, evil. So it was Ryan as it turned out.

We get to see Eve/Momma Winchester and that was another great scene. Nice move Dean to drink the ash.

Bite me! And Eve/Mom did. How many fan girls drooled at that bite. Sexy and disturbing at the same time.

Sam's face as this was going on. And good boy...you gave me some peekage. Mmmm.
So Eve's taken out by the ash. Maybe, you can never be sure. I'm assuming Eve has only taken a human as a vessel, the same as angels and demons do, so I don't suppose that Eve is actually dead, only the vessel.
Then we get the lovely moment with Crowley and Cas....awesome!

I really, really loved this episode, even more than last weeks. All the scenes were beautifully shot and everyone looked gorgeous.

So many great moments with the four guys working together, but the way things are heading, maybe we won't get this again. Ever. :(
