I thought this was a great return from the Hellatus. I loved it.

Really good fun with a lot going on in there.
 
 

 

I won't ask how many of you thought 'that's a bad move' when the guy chocked open the garage door with the bit of wood. :P

Bobby's drinking because of Rufus, and someone's needs to talk to him.

That's the clincher,  now we know something's up.

Some great scenes with Ellen and Bobby. Even though it's an AU there's something really good knowing Bobby has someone to stop him drinking himself to death. Even though it can't last. :(

So with a bit of poking about the boys discover Balthazar's unsunk the Titanic and changed history.

 

Bathazar: I hated the movie
Dean: What movie?
Balthazar: Exactly

That's a bit thin Balthy...even for you!

Sam: You totally butterfly affected history
Dean: Rule number one...no Kutcher references!

I love Bathazar...he's fun. Total the opposite of Cas because he  doesn't seem to care about humanity but for some reason he's likeable (oops I typed lickable there first) maybe it's because he's free from all those annoying moral constrictions. Plus he loves winding Dean up. I have a feeling that he's going to come good when the war really gets going though. Well more than it is now.

Cas comes to the rescue when Fate almost kills them...and so they set a trap for her and they walk the walk of doom.

And Fate shows up...she's really pissed.

I loved this special effect. I know it's a pretty well used effect these days ...but I still thought it looked cool.

Then it gets very, very interesting. The big reveal....and something I wasn't expecting at this point. Cas is keeping secrets and one of them is that Balthazar's working for him.

This opens up a whole lot of questions...like, was Balthazar working for him when he bought the boys soul?
If he was, then Cas is in a very dark place...so I think that's unlikely. What is Cas really up to?

Cas makes a big thing about freedom being preferable to Fate.

Cut to Sam and Dean in the Impala. With 'that' song! :D

Was it all  a dream?

Nope.

So Cas needs them to retain the memory of the alternate timeline...but why is Cas lying to Dean? What is he doing that he needs to do that? Is it that he needs every soul he can get for the battle ahead whatever the cost? Except he can't let Sam and Dean die, that's a step too far.

I think Cas wants them to know about Fate and souls because somewhere along the line he's going to do something that will really test their friendship to the max.

Cas is looking more and more dishevelled...I see his tie is back to front.
Is this because he doesn't have  time to even get dressed properly or is it a hint of something happening to him? Going darker maybe?



Oh Dean...Cas is lying to you.

Aw Bobby.  You may not have Ellen but you have the boys.

What about Sam's soul in all this? As Cas wasn't keen for Dean to retrive Sam's soul maybe it's worth more than other souls or maybe has some darker power...for the other side.
