I really loved it. Story telling at it's best, in my opinion. It really did fly by.

Sera really does know her stuff when it come to this kind of thing. Plus she loves to give heart to the characters so you really feel their pain. Isn't that what makes this show so compelling? For me...yes it is.

It was really hard to watch at times though...seeing someone being ground down little by little. It's testament to Jared's acting how tormented he made Sam. That sense of hopelessness that oozed out of him was chilling.

I guess most people will be able to identify with Sam's sleepless state to some degree. I know I've suffered from insomnia at times with thoughts that won't stop buzzing in my head. No Luci thank God but it wears you down just the same. I felt exhausted watching him as he tried to cope with Luci's constant sniping and yelling. And the music! All those scenes were so intense and real. I felt for Sam so much and could hardly wait for him to get some relief. I had to have a break at one point as I couldn't stand it.

In the beginning Sam tried to outrun the pain, even used street drugs which had no effect.

Then he was hit by a car! Ooooooh bloody hell. (and kudos to the stuntman there – I've viewed that in slowmo and I couldn't tell it wasn't Jared there...I can't believe it was him though. I'm sure Gen would kill him with his, at the time, impending Daddyhood! (And now the proud Dad of Thomas *the Colt* Padalecki)

So, to the hospital - and a bit of a pause for a fangirl moment.

Stubbly hurt Sam in white medical jimjams...with the puppy face. Oh my gawd...you've never looked sexier. Ever. *Has a moment. And another one.......*

Pulls self together...

I really liked the little ghost hunt in there as well. Sam doing his thing, not just to distract himself but because that's who he is. A hero. And yes I'm a Samgirl...who'd have guessed! :D

And Dean.

There's nothing better in my book than a Dean with a mission. Especially to help Sam. He was in turbo mode. Don't get in his way or else.

When Dean found Cas and said he could heal Sam...I had tears in my eyes. The look on Dean's face said it all.

I wasn't sure what my feelings would be about Cas returning as I thought his story was finished. I really didn't want him back to carry on as before in that same old way. And definitely didn't want him taking away from the Dean/Sam dynamic. But as it turned out it was fine and I loved the twist at the end, which I didn't see coming at all. I thought that was fantastic way to deal with Luci.

He definitely owed Sam...and has now paid his dues. How Dean feels about him now though remains to be seen but he was right to leave him in the hospital. There's no way they could handle a crazy angel while trying to keep a low profile on the run. I can't see Cas being left in the hospital for long...but no idea what'll happen next with him. Although I guess Meg's going to be in the mix somehow.

I thought that maybe Cas would have his amnesia for longer. Maybe spread over a couple of eps. I felt annoyed when Meg told him who he was. I thought noooo don't tell him. Mend Sam first dammit!!!

Amnesiac Cas was great...

Misha does that quiet thoughtful persona so well.

And Meg.

Loved seeing her back. Still snarky as ever. There's never anyone so fascinating in a story as a bad character trying to fit in or being manipulative. It's going to be fun having her around.

Mark Pellingro...what can I say about you...I hope you're around for a bit longer. Maybe taunting Cas now. But boy..you can play one evil son-of-a-bitch.

When Cas did the transferring thing...that kind of posses a question of what actually Hallucifer is?

We know that Sam's problem wasn't physical or mental but 'hell specific' to him. And now Cas has to deal with the same issue.

“Hello brother” kind of implies that 'Luci' is a personality and not just a figment of Sam's mind. If that's the case it could bring up all kinds of interesting scenarios. Or, more likely, the brain just interprets the hellish experiences and makes them personal.

Definitely looks like Bobby's around. But I don't think we'll see him yet though...Jim's not available. Looks like some thing's being set up for the future though.

And there's Daphne, Emmanuel's wife.  I think we'll see her again. Or at least have her mentioned. Unless she was just a plot device but I can live with that.
